Wander into wildlife, in Minneriya & Kaudulla National Park approximately 45 km from Sigiriya. A feeding ground for Sri Lankan elephants from Matale, Polonnaruwa, & Trincomalee. The tank at the Park is of great historical importance as Sri Lankan monarch King Mahasen built it in 3rd century AD. The amount of elephants that can be spotted at this place makes it amazing. What delights most is the closeness to the mighty creatures. Kaudulla is no exception boasting over 24 mammals, 25 reptiles, & 160 species of birds.
